Ahh...the college years
Great show! Let it grow to close 1st set was sweet!
Getting an eyes, other ones, & wharf were my highlights. & Yes, the Loser is played well.
Oh, to be 21 again and have the freedoms of my college years.

Perhaps An Inkling...
...Of what the band would have evolved into minus "his" presence.
No matter what you say, this is a supreme re-enactment of the type of performance the band was always longing to deliver.
People, Jerry never longed to have the focus solely upon him. He wanted to be a part of a band.
Here it is.

OK show. Eyes, Candyman, Space, Attics are highlights.
The Candyman here is a special one--I really like the unique keyboard stuff, sometimes the sax instrument, sometimes the chorus, sometimes the warm pad. An interesting touch to the usually piano-y Dead.
Eyes is definetly a classic one, too--nice slow & steady pace, sweet jamming. I am also really digging the "Dark Star Jam", Drums, & especially Space ... this one is the extraterrestial's choice.
Final Verdict: OK show. Eyes, Candyman, Space, Wharf Rat, Attics are highlights.

this was my first show!
my famous story from this show is how someone from up behind me broke open glow sticks and threw them all over the crowd, and in our states, as touch began we were all freaking out not able to figure out what the stardust was!
i was not 16 yet and it was CRAZY!
the good old days without a care!

EYES
Underrated show in this historic MSG run. One the best Eyes I've ever heard. Just gorgeous! I love the whole 2nd set.

Great Sound, Great Performance
4 star 91 Dead. First set highlights: Candyman, Loser, Row Jimmy, Let It Grow. Saint is about the only weak spot of the second set. O1 is haunting, especially the progression of notes that lead into Wharf Rat. Attics is beautiful. Great Sound, everyone comes through loud and clear.

first show
easily the best of the shows that i saw. the hornsby factor was a great catalyst in the post brent era. listening to this tape some years down the line it offers a great set list, dark star jam (in the first show), Row jimmy, candyman, let it grow all able to stand on their own great performances and when I heard attics to close the show I knew that this was something bigger then life itself. the rest of the fall 91 tour, MSG/BG, would be just as good as anything they did with brent.

Enigmatic Thought
This was the last run of shows I attended, and I quit at the right time.
I just recently found the handwritten setlist I wrote at this show, and at the bottom it says:
"Great taste, Lesh Philling"
I have no idea what I was thinking, but this MSG run was great and in all lilkihood, the beginning of the end, after Boston......

Great Show
Fantastic Show! Solid first set, Big River and Maggie's Farm are a little iffy, but other than that very well played. Second Set is also good, with a FANTASTIC eyes as the highlight of the pre-drums. Post space is not as strong as the rest of the show. Wharf Rat is perfect, but Bobby is clearly losing his voice in Good Lovin. The Attics encore is nice, but could be sung a lot better; however the last time they played it (besides the soundcheck) was a year and a half ago.
